When the weather is really bad outside and I can't get out, the next thing to do is declutter my shelves and thats what I've done over the weekend..I couldn't get to class today coz of the snowstorm..grrrrr!! Really long crappy winter again!! Anyways, I'm really happy with the results of my room! I got a new vase on Friday from Pier1, it was on sale so I was happy to find it! Its light pink/turquoise ceramic and I think the grass stems look really amazing in it. And I've been listening to soothing sounds of the jungle while I do my zen yoga..it really helps to relax.
This is my fav. food I've been eating lately..I'm becoming more and more health conscious and been searching for sites on better living and I think that is my main goal for the new year, it's to become aware of what I put into my body..no more chips and junk food!! What I eat is spinach salad with vegan cheese, a scrambled egg with pepper, and pepper cashews, they are so good!! And also cashews lower cholesterol, so there are health benefits there. I did put salad dressing on it which is also vegan.
I spent hours yesterday decluttering everything..I found a lot of things to give to charity. my scarf collection and belts..the finished closet filled with hippie/boho clothes..I'm happy with the result! Like I mentioned a while back, I'm going back to what I love the most..being who I am..a flower nature animal lovin' hippie with Indian and tribal prints etc..

I created these ones a while back, its just graphite pencil on paper and then I used pencil crayons to colour them in. Butterflies have so much meaning to me..they have this stage of metamorphosis much like life for me, when you change into someone better and you grow spiritually..
Here are my mystical stones..I try to collect them to resemble the Chakras..I've got a sodalite and prehnite for the Brow Chakra, labradorite and amethyst for Crown Chakra, angelite for Throat Chakra, rose quartz and aventurine for Heart Chakra, tiger's eye for Solar Plexus Chakra, and I'm missing 2 Chakras.
My new moodboard..it seems that I keep changing it so many times, but this time, its going to stay..it has everything that I love..sunflowers, daisies, mushrooms, nature, animals etc..very earthy & hippie! I also recently purchased long grass stems to put into my vase, I think it looks pretty! Also got 2 hippie stoneware, mug & bowl..very groovy indeed! Yesterday I went with some friends to a cool diner & my new favorite food now are polenta fries with tomato jam dip..yummm!! I still love mixing patterns & prints, it makes the cold outside more bareable. Also reconnected with my long time hippie love, Xavier Rudd. He's music is so inspiring..& this is still one of my most favorite albums ever!
I've decided on going back to the things I love the most..bohemian/hippie stuff..went thrifting last night & I found some grooviness..this cute flower ceramic photo frame, another doily coz you can't have enough, a book on Flowering House Plants circa 1971 (i will be using some of the images for two photo frames i have), a bohemian tea light holder, this incredible elephant print exotic top..there was no label anywhere so i have no idea where it comes from? possibly Indonesia, not sure, a 70s color scheme striped skirt called "tropical breeze" brand is Old Navy & it comes from the Philippines, started the new year with a health kick & been really liking kale chips, a Christmas present from a wonderful friend!! I heart these tube-like plants & i love that it came in a glass pot so that i can see the soil..love it!!
I don't buy anything Juicy Couture but I couldn't resist their new lipstick line!! I got excited when I saw that their lipsticks come with a gold dust shimmer. I got 02 Not Your Babe..its sort of like a Barbie pink color..really pretty!!
The cats from outer space..Captain Fez & Junior Spock both were shocked at having their photo taken after they had beamed themselves down from the Catnip Enterprise.
Dutch almond ring cake (soo good!)..traditional Scandinavian fish soup..groovy leopard dish ..best seafood (breaded tilapia with mango salsa + coconut shrimp with curry dip + cheese wrapped shrimp..soo good!!)..clown hats I made for the New Year's party..brie cheese spread with pumpernickel bread + tons of hor d'heuvres..circus horse toy as gifts..confetti clown cake..yumm!!
