Easter Time

It was wintery cold during the Easter weekend..it took me a while to post these pics coz I've been busy with work. There were loads of pretty daffodils around..it seems like its spring but it feels like we are forever stuck in January! I have the winter syndrome blues again and its end of April..wow!

California Cactus

Harry in his new hat! I got this idea from Kevin the bearded dragon on Scaled..Kevin is way cool!!!! Also new bohemian plant holders from Pier1..these were on sale so I got excited and got two of them..which one is the real plant??

Re-organized my room some more..I took out a lot of stuff that was on my walls inside my closet and it looks way better..i'm trying to minimize everything. The salt lamp used to be in the hallway but I think it looks way better in my room..it also has a lot of health benefits and clears the air which is great!


I love the celestial décor over my bed a lot.. I also took off all the pics I had inside the alcove and put my wooden elephant under my vintage mirror.


And yeah ending this post with a pic of the Beatles.."Hey, i'm just one of the out of focus guys!" haha..

My Fav. Thing About Spring...

My favourite thing about spring is how everything becomes new again - like Mother Earth is breathing new life everywhere. The planet begins a journey of regrowth and the sun shining in my face as I lay back on the grass amongst a field of dandelions and the breeze is warm and soothing.

Hippie Room Tour

I decided to put my mandala print rug on the wall coz it looks more like a tapestry instead..i think it looks way groovy!! Also I redid my shelfing..i had way too many books piled all over, so I removed most of what I don't use anymore and just kept my fav. diaries, Ikea mags, etc..and I like how my top shelf looks now with photos, succulents, incense etc..

In this corner on the wall I have my Ojos de Dios, the giant sized one was recently made. I also took off all the things I had on top of tv and decided to just put one thing, my Buddha to make it look more minamilistic.I tried to minimize my shelves as much as possible..it wasn't easy! I heart my Janis poster a lot!

Next are my main shelves which house my cds..I had way more cds before, but I just kept the ones I listen to the most..mostly 60s/70s rock and indie rock stuff with some oddities. I love how my middle shelf looks on the right with boho photo frames and I tried to minimize it..the top shelf is basically the same except I added less stuff.

I am still trying to organize my work space..and my other corner of the room looks pretty good..i added a new pillow I got thrifting recently..its similar to the pillows that Jackie has on That 70s Show in her room!
My closet..it took me two hours to figure out how to organize the top shelf better and I love how it turned out.
My fav. vinyl album..Iron Butterfly! Also minimized the middle shelf by using it to store all my art supplies and sketch books, and paint brushes etc..My hippie board has not been completed yet..i plan to do a Woodstock 1969 display since its their 50th Anniversary this year! And I put up my Grateful Dead poster on back of door..it used to be in my bedroom.
It was summer yesterday and this was my outfit of the day..zodiac t-shirt and hippie skirt both thrifted..luna hair tie from Lucky Brand, moon choker from Forever 21, turtle necklace from Fun Factory, ring from 10,000 Villages.  Thank you for viewing and hope you have a groovy weekend!

Some more items that I've recently thrifted..forgot to mention these in previous post..an art deco style vase (made in Portugal), love the print on it a lot!! Also a pirate treasure-like storage box, the Tree of Life dream catcher was not thrifted, it was from Fun Factory, but I did thrift this amazing Bonzai beaded tree with rocks inside a Chinese dish..bracelets I keep on it have also been thrifted.
I got this groovy Indian plant holder from Homesense..and my newly decorated bamboo drawers..i wanted to make it look more jungle-y.
My jewelry holder which I got from Target eons ago..still using it to hold my jewelry..i heart my floral dress a lot!! My medallion necklace is from Lucky Brand. Today was the first really warm day and it felt like summer..went hiking in the forest, had vegan ice cream, and walked barefoot on the grass and spoke to the daffodils along the way..

Large Hippie Haul

I heart my thrifted tiger t-shirt a lot..i am ready to do adventures with Evan in the Wild!! My Sprengeri plant is doing groovy!! It seems to love being in my room coz it has grown at least another inch!

Had a blast thrifting all day on Saturday!! Wow, did I find amazing stuff..like this hippie-style pillow with a tree on it which was only$1.99! And there was another pillow inside of it with an autumn tree scene and in that one, there was another pillow..i love suprises like that!! :) Also the bamboo chair was thrifted and it now holds a plant.

This groovy hippie vest (label is Reference Point) and they made these in the 70s to early 80s..i couldn't believe it that I finally found one of these..been looking for this ever since I saw Christina Ricci wearing one in the film "The Ice Storm"! Other clothing I got were a 1970s blue floral print skirt with ruffles (label is vintage Sears), also a tie-dye summer dress, and a batik print lounger.The best score was finding this celestial moon candle holder which I've been looking all over the place for..this one was only $1.99!
This groovy bracelet with real stones on them..another groovy find!! And two vintage pot warmers, I think that's what they are called?
And this bamboo tray which I've used to hold my perfume bottles on..it ties in with my bedroom bohemian theme really great!

Two of my fav. health food lunches lately..sweet potato with wild lettuce and mushrooms and sunflower seeds..then the next pic is spinach with mandarin slices, pears, sunflower seeds, and vegan salad dressing. Been eating spinach and sunflowers seeds the most because its really good for the hair!
