Earthy Bohemian Room

Finally finished my room and I love it a lot!! It's got a bohemian/tropical jungle vibe..the side of the wall on the left is sunflower paint colour which I did last year and I couldn't find the right paint again when I did the longer wall so I used Banff Sun which I thought was the closest but not really, so it became more of an ombre effect which is really cool!! I took off a lot of things from the wall and just kept the Indian dish and the new celestial painting I recently did..i tried to minimize colours as much as possible..i wanted more tropical earthy..just for added colours I have this 70s square crocheted throw I thrifted a while ago..i like that my bedroom is less cluttered and more clean looking and smarter organized!

On the right side corner from my bed, I have my bamboo/wicker drawers I've had for a long while.
Close-up of what I keep on top of my drawers..beaded box with a sea turtle plushie, lotus flower tealight holder, a really cool bamboo jewelry holder, very Moroccan from a cute little Indian shop, a Buddha statue that says "Abundance" in Chinese lettering, and my faux cactus plant..and on top of the corner I have my celestial glow-in-the-dark moon/sun, moon dream catcher, and an Indian pillow..My side table is from Ikea..i put it together myself, two new wicker baskets I recently thrifted, the only thing I hate is my round white lamp..the light is way too bright and it just doesn't go with my bohemian theme..I used a kitchen cabinet marble paper to glue over the horrible red that was on my corkboard and I love how it turned out!! it was so easy to do!!

I wanted to really minimize what I put on my new corkboard..just kept it simple with only 3 of my fav. postcards, and some keychains, and earthy buttons..i kept my yin-yang wall décor..

My chair was my mom's and she gave it to me coz it fit my room décor better, I put my new elephant pillow on it..

On left side of desk, I have all my faux monster plants since I cannot get real ones where I live!, and top of my desk near my laptop, I have my real plants, I tried to minimize what I have on my desk and it wasn't easy..


And last thing I reorganized my vanity table..I tried to minimize everything and I like it a lot better..I will do my closet tour another time..

Mini Haul + Mr. Marley + Vegan Food

Had a blast thrifting yesterday..got a cute boho elephant print wrap around skirt..made in Thailand..

Then I found this groovy playsuit with elephant print..this was my fav. find of the day!! The brand is Magazine made in Bangladesh..

This cute boho wicker basket..i love picking these things up, its great for storage!! I've got cds in this one..and two winter hats..a grey knitted with pink detailing beret and an earthy one, brand Polar Extreme..

Can't say enough about this wonderful kitty..Mister Marley loves playing inside the happy box..he also loves shoelaces and brings them to me so that I will play with him..he thinks he's a dog!

And two of my fav. health foods lately..homemade strawberry salad with mushrooms, cucumbers and Italian dressing and vegan pizza with cashew butter on top..it might not look too good but it tastes amazing!!

I have been organizing my room and getting rid of so many stuff..mostly brightly coloured things for reasons that I really don't want to get into..i wanted to tone things down so that people won't get the wrong idea of who I am..umm..yeah..I've noticed other girls who used to be into hippie stuff, like tie-dye and bright colours in their rooms have also changed into more subtle earthy tones, perhaps they had the same problems as I did! Anyways, be true to yourself and be who you are..I love boys/men and its always been like that and there is nothing wrong with that! So yeah..i'm getting rid of a lot of questionable stuff which I didn't even realize that I had..but being a hippie girl I tend to gravitate towards colours, but I decided to be more earthy bohemian. I will post pics soon when I have completed the room transformation..
