1990s jazzy outfit of the day..

Went on a road trip to Toronto yesterday..outfit of the day: pretty floral dress - thrifted, cream colored doc martens (i call it cookies n cream), faux leather jacket - hand-me-down, white t-shirt - thrifted, hat - forever21 (i've had this for a long while)..i got so many compliments on my outfit on Queen St. :)

large thrift haul..

Big Thrift Haul!!! Went thrifting Sunday with friends coz it was raining & a boring day..& I'm so glad we did!! Scored this pretty 70s style long tiered skirt, floral dress, & peacock print harem pants which I've been wanting since I saw them on theadornedduo.uk!!

I've been looking for a big bag for a while now & I found the perfect one..its sage green with 2 large tassels, also this pretty big round ring with a boho print.

OMG!! the bestest find ever is this black blazer with silver shimmer stripes, brand new, the label was still attached! Brand is Le Chateau & I re-bought a skirt that I had gotten a years ago from Forever 21 & regretted getting rid of so when I looked through the 60s/70s retro Halloween section, BINGO! it was staring me in the face!! I was soo happy to see it again! My friends cracked up totally when I told them!

This amazing stone vase - made in the Philippines.  Hahaha..cat not thrifted..beautiful Marley-boo!!

updated bohemian room tour..

i decided to have much less colours & more earthy boho & also minimized stuff..I love how it turned out!! The sage green throw is from Homesense & the white duvet cover is from Jysk.  Also I decided not to do tapestries on the wall & opted for a handmade 100% jute tree hanging from 10,000 Villages.

I used to have this wall totally covered with dreamcatchers, but I decided to keep it empty to make my room look big (this is a very small room!), so less is better & I've added a wooden vase filled with exotic nature foliage..

Close-up of my bamboo chest (I got this from my grandma a long while back, this used to be hers)..I added two boho dishes - one to hold my hair stuff & the other for bracelets & my gnome collection is growing..close-up of my nightstand..my pretty Indigenous doll, zebra print clock (i've had this for years), siamese cat beanie, magical gnome & my magic carpet (Port Colborne Festival)..

diy gothic chandelier..

Gothic Halloween chandelier decor as seen on Portals To Hell..Victoria's Black Swan Inn, San Antonio Texas.  I tried to recreate what was on their chandelier which was really awesome!!  I got 5 orange glittered black roses + 2 long plastic white beads & used a glue gun..

I glued a bit of the beads around the top part of the stem & then took the other end & made a loop by gluing it about 5 inches down..

I love how it turned out!!!! I took some extra beads & just hung them down in the middle.

my first attempt at Indigenous art..I love Canada goose so much! i think it turned out really good!! i really love it! reminds me of the Canada geese we used to see at the Museum of Man in Ottawa hanging from the ceiling & they made noise..
