Went on a long nature hike in the woods..it was so peaceful near the lake with the tiny swamp area being my flower child hippie self sitting on top of a mini Stone Henge and not thinking of anything at all..just relaxing..

Shein Haul + Try On

I got my Shein order yesterday and was super thrilled with everything!!! I wasn't expecting much considering how cheap the stuff was, but I was pleasantly surprised!! I got the order all the way from China. This is a pretty good company..reminds me of the retro things I used to purchase at Forever21 or Urban Planet.  The materials are pretty good quality, its not bad really!! I got 2 pairs of earrings..big daisy ones and the square ones..very 1960s!! Retro hair stuff..love the 70s style hair combs!! Then I got a psychedelic mushroom t-shirt, the iron-on is very retro 70s!! 1960s flower power mini skirt, California Dreamin' t-shirt dress (love the color of it a lot!!), daisy print polyester shirt, and rainbow striped bellbottoms..these ones are my most favorite of the bunch!!!!

Modern Psychedelic Bands

Kula Shaker have been one of my most fav. bands for a long while!! They are from London, singer is dreamy Crispian Mills, and their music is heavily influenced by East Indian sounds. On the track Sound of Drums, you can hear The Doors style keyboard which reminds me of Light My Fire. Next up is Mystic Braves are an amazing American band from LA, and they are influenced by 60s psychedelic bands like The Seeds.  Temples are groovy psychedelic band from the UK.  Love their haunting vocals, and their videos are groovy!! Levitation Room, 60s rock with a hint of psychedelica, again from the LA area, super groovy beats!!Of course..The Babe Rainbow..love these guys loads!! They even have their own hippie bus..WOOT!WOOT! This video was taken from a 1971 documentary..Far-Out!! And last but not least, OMG!!! Where did this amazing groovy guy come from??? Lewis Floyd Henry..He reincarnated Hendrix!! Wow!!

Retro Flower

Summer daydreaming in my 70s crochet striped top, 70s sunglasses, and Jimi Hendrix guitar pick necklace.  I ordered these groovy retro flower stickers from Amazon..they were only $4.00! And they came the next day from the States..wow!! There's 10 flower cut outs in the pack.  Haven't decided where i'm gonna put them yet.  Also made homemade chocolate chip cookies..yum! It's been a very very hot and humid July so far, can't do anything much in this horrible heatwave!

Psychedelic Art

Recent artwork created in the humid hot sunshine..mushrooms, a hippie sign inspired by the film Psych-Out, and psyschedelic swirls. I got sick from drinking too much of Timmy's strong iced coffee!! I thought I was gonna start climbing the walls!! Way way much caffeine and I was ready to fly myself to the moon!! Not been doing much lately except reorganizing the basement, getting rid of stuff, because its so much cooler downstairs when its like 41 humidity!!

A Visit From Bambi

A few days ago we were visited by a beautiful deer..Bambi seemed to love our place and was looking at the side of our house. It was straight out of a fairy tale!!

Water Colors

Doing yoga in the park has given me a sense of joy! The way the sunlight shines through the trees, the vibrant purple flowers, and many groovy shades of green reminded me of Janis Ian's song Water Colors.

Closet Purge

Yesterday there were twister like storms so I decided to colour-coordinate everything in my closets. They turned out pretty groovy and I noticed how much blue stuff I own..i guess blue is my fav. colour. All shades of blue!

Monkberry Moon Delight

Hiya groovy peeps!! I dressed yesterday as a 70s/90s rock chick & the reason why I mentioned the 90s becuz of my tights..i could only find yellow footless tights in my wardrobe which I got at Party City a while back..i paired it with my black & white converse, 1970s style denim skirt (thrifted), brown suede jacket (thrifted), Queen t-shirt (out of the past), 70s sunnies (ebay), 70s headscarf  & vintage purple plastic earrings(out of the past). I put some of my fav. pics on back of my door..my stoopid camera flashed too much on my Easy Rider sticker..you can't really see that one.
Okay..I need to address an issue that has come up a while ago on why I put my cat on a leash when I take him outside..we live too near traffic, also our backyard is not fenced in and there are loads of dangerous animals around, like coyotes, raccoons, etc..that will attack & destroy cats, so we must keep our Marley safe!! People are more upset over that than when somone puts tight tutus around their cats necks for fun!!:( On a good end note..as a huge space fan, I loved every moment of the Cape Canaveral countdown, the cute dragon aboard with the astronauts, the way the astronauts interacted with the kids in the crowd, and the "let's light up this candle!" spoken by one of the astronauts, and of course when it launched up into space..that was AMAAAAZING!!!!

Ice Cream With Just 3 Ingredients

Thanks to Priyanka and her super easy recipe, I've been enjoying this ice cream so much!!! It takes like Italian gelato!! All you need is 1 carton fresh cream (250 ml), 1 can condensed milk, and cocoa powder..you whisk the cream until firm and add in the condensed milk and stir, then add 3 tbs of cocoa or depending on your taste, if you want it less sweet, add more cocoa powder, then stir, and put ice cream into a square glass container and cover top with saran wrap and place in freezer for several hours and when you take it out, voila! ice cream!! and its delicious!!
