Groovy Summer Lookbook

I'm so happy that summer is here..its still very humid today, for 3 days exact..wow! Played badminton in the park with friends yesterday, had way too much ice-cream, felt like jumping into a pool, thats how hot it was!

Plant Magic

Picked up this pretty Aloma Ivy coming home from classes today..it was so hot outside..I love summer weather in May!! Full name of this plant is Hedera Helix. I will be planting her in a cactus shaped pot, probably tonight if I have time.

And on the way home I was super happy to see one dandelion in a field of green..and some more flowers..

I made mango curry chicken in coconut cream sauce with green beans and thin Italian spaghetti..it was soo good!!! I now prefer to use coconut cream instead of coconut milk..the taste is silky soft and sweeter.

Hippie Hip-Hop

Our dance studio did really well!WOOT! WOOT! Having funky fun at the dance comp over the weekend..hip-hop time!!

Lunch break..yummy oreo cookie milkshake, club sandwich toast was burnt..fries were soo yum!!

Spring Manifestations

Re-did this corner of my room..i've changed my mood board, its all about nature/animals etc..i've minimized the stuff i used to have hanging all over the place on it, and took off a lot of my buttons and just left a few..i think it looks way way better and groovier!!

I've added flowers to my African lady to make it more spring-like.

Put my lotus flower painting inside my closet and my ever growing rock collection. Happy Earth Day music mix:

My most fav. retro find ever!!! This amazing 1970s style daisy round tray which i'm using as a decoration for the kitchen counter wall.

And these clothing items..NY t-shirt, tie-dye jogger shorts (OMG!! i really want to go surfing!!), earth tone t-shirt with sand colored sweater pants which is perfect for the weather right now. I would style it with my giant chakra moon necklace.

Re-Organizing My Work Room and My Ukulele

Tried to color-co-ordinate my clothings..i love having loads of different prints and patterns!
I put up my chakra tapestry at my work spot, i think it looks way groovy!! also put up my octopus painting i did a few months ago..and then i did this amazing project on my plain white drawer..i stuck postcards on it to make it funky, and i think it turned out great!! Thanks Hildy (Trading Spaces designer) for inspiring me to stick things on furniture..haha!

My new corkboard filled with 1960s/70s bands/musicians..my Timothy Leary postcard is my most fav.!!

Starting playing my ukulele again..i'm trying to learn Bob Dylan's Blowin' In the Wind on it. I heart my kaftan a lot!! Come on spring!!! where are you?? we are going to be hit by a major ice storm..OMG!! an ice storm in spring???? really?? is the weathernetwork making this up?? there might be a lot of power outages, that is why i'm updating my blog now, in case my computer is gonna stop working..i have an old computer so i don't know whats going to happen..scary!!
