Goals for today: declutter rooms, yoga meditation, dream of camping out in Wyoming (a postcard I got in the mail from a friend in the US), go on a road trip and reconnect with Mac DeMarco and the Arctic Monkeys.

DIY Boho Christmas Wreath

This was pretty easy to make but very time-consuming! It took nearly 3 hours to complete.  First I took a pizza box and cut out a round circle and then I cut out the middle part to look like a donut, then I took twigs and glued them onto the cardboard and went around, then I had to make pom-poms using yarn and then I used Marley's cat brush to fluff the pom-poms and then I glued them around the smaller circle, then I glued real pine bits around the outer edges of the pom-poms, and then I took 4 pine cones and glued them on (I unfortunately did not have a package of small pinecones to glue around, so I had no choice but to use only 4 large pinecones.  I think it turned out really great!! Winter Boho Wardrobe

I love patterns and prints and my new leopard print boho slouch hat.  Today I went out with my friend Maria to collect twigs, pine cones, and pine branches to make a giant boho Christmas wreath.

Norwegian Food

I made my favourite Norwegian dish..I haven't made it in a long while and I know I'm supposed to be a vegetarian/vegan, but oops, I craved this food and having a Scandinavian background I had to make it again. It is pork with Jalsberg cheese sauce and served with cabbage with bacon bits and fresh dill.  It is sooo good..så bra!!!! I also made Dutch spice cookies that were supposed to come out as trees but some how they kinda meshed together, haha. Next time the cookies will be 2 meters apart! DIY Crystal Shelf

This was really easy and fun to create!!! I went outside to collect twigs in the backyard..

* you need 4 x 23 cm, 4 x 15 cm, 4 x 7 cm lengths of twigs

* glue gun

* start off with 2 23 cm and put a 15 cm on bottom to start off the shelf

* then you just keep adding all 4 twigs on bottom and all 4 smaller twigs on the top part

* then you put on the back part using the other 2 23 cm twigs

* finish off with twisting a piece of rope on top part

Age of Aquarius

Just recently I wore this dress with my boho hippie coat and black floppy sunflower hat and a guy came up to me and said "you look like you came out of Woodstock 69!".  That was the best compliment ever!!!

An everything thrifted kinda outfit of the day. Goals for today: listening to Arlo Guthrie, meditating, tarot card readings etc..

DIY Boho Moon Holder

It took me hours to wrap yarn around the plastic moon holder, but I love it a lot!!! I do not like the look of plastic, this makes it a lot more boho and it was very easy to do, you can actually cover any plastic with yarn and all you need is a glue gun to seal it.  

Boho/Nordic Christmas Trees

the colour scheme this year is green and gold with boho stuff added here and there.  This is the first time we put up the trees really early in November, we usually waited until end of this month to put them up but because we can't really go anywhere, this cheered us up!!  The other tree is one that we had for years, and we decorated it traditional and Nordic. I think both trees look very pretty! I also made snowflakes out of construction paper..very easy to do when you follow instructions online.

yoga mystic

Enjoyed the last days of summer in November by pretending I was going to an outdoor hippie festival. It makes a lot of difference to me when the sun is out and it's warm outside!! I feel creative and energetic.. I created another painting..this one is called Yoga Mystic.  And I made a friend with a woolly bear.  I haven't seen these all summer and all of a sudden in November, I found one. This one was quite friendly and I placed the woolly somewhere safe.  Now the sun has disappeared and we have hurricane-like winds, its pouring, and its grey and this kind of weather has a huge impact on me.  I get totally lazy and I sleep in late.  So, to combat the ungroovy vibes, we decorated two Christmas trees yesterday and danced to Christmas music and felt a whole lot better!! However, I long for hot climate with groovy palm trees and the sun in my face.

Summer In November

Warm sunshine day out in the forest, lake and park with my friend Lily.  It felt great to be out in nature again!! I wish the whole winter would be summer temperatures! I felt like a woodland fairy.
